The purpose of this ministry is to provide pastoral care, life coaching, and counseling to meet the needs of the church family and the surrounding community, while serving Jesus Christ. Turning Point Ministry is centered on the tenets of respect, confidentiality, and support. We are offering a safe nonjudgmental environment, where those seeking help can openly and honestly express themselves without fear of rejection or judgment.
Along with services like pre-marital and marital counseling, Turning Point Ministry will offer support in areas of addiction, anger, anxiety, career, depression, grief, personal growth, self-esteem, and stress.
For cases outside training or expertise, referrals to trained professionals will be provided. Upon request continued support through Turning Point Ministry will be made available.
No psychiatrists or medical doctors are on staff; therefore no prescription medications are available through this ministry.
What are the differences between Pastoral Care, Life Coaching, and Counseling?
Pastoral Care provides immediate services for life events. These services can begin and end quickly without long term plans or care.
Life Coaching provides guidance and direction as needed by clients to achieve desired goals. Services include support and planning to achieve desired results.
Counseling is the process associated with identifying and addressing personal conflict or emotional problems.
Confidentality will be maintained in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Scheduling occurs through Turning Point Ministry with evening hours and weekends available.
